Review

The battle for the freedom of Demontia has finally arrived and Tony, leader of the Ravyn’s is about to find himself in the forefront. Ravyn’s Temptation wove another intriguing facet of the lives of the Ravyn’s and their beloved Prince Salvatore.

Salvatore’s cousin Theron is currently their prisoner for passing information onto the evil Desmond. Prince Theron though has his reasons, as his most trusted friends are held captive by Desmond and will be killed if Theron does not cooperate.

Prince Salvatore has ordered Tony to be the personal prison guard to Theron which proved more difficult than meets the eye; Tony had fallen for the little prince.

Jana Downs is a superb story teller in her delivery of the lives of the Ravyn’s. Just when I thought that I had my favorite book picked out in the series, she wrote another and topped herself. Ravyn’s Temptation was magnificent.  

Throughout the series, Tony had always been more sullen and serious, as the leader of the Ravyn’s he has had a more formal personality. In Ravyn’s Temptation Ms.  Downs permitted the real Tony to come forth, and grow and mature in his self-worth and his ability to truly love and be happy.  Tony’s personality has never allowed him to do anything half way and he came full circle in Ravyn’s Temptation. As it should be, when it came to his mate, Tony was a pile of goo.

Theron was a wonderful addition to the story. Introduced in previous books, Theron’s reason for being was revealed. Under Ms. Downs’s characterization, Theron grew into a mature partner beside Tony, in love and battle. Ms. Downs created a character that complimented the Ravyn’s leader and offset his brusque nature. When together each man became whole and apart they were simply solitary pieces of a puzzle.

In this reviewer’s summation, that is how Jana Downs has delivered the entire series. Each Ravyn has been a piece of a greater enigma; each an integral part, with smaller puzzles intertwined as each man found his complimentary mate. The mystery became larger while also becoming smaller as the conundrum of the lives of the Ravyn's was slowly revealed throughout the series; a testament to the writing abilities of Jana Downs and the wonderful secrets in her mind.

Jana Downs delivered love, lust and intrigue as she took me on a roller coaster of emotion and adventure. The playfulness of Tony, the fierce love of Theron; steamy, kinky sex.  New characters revealed and more questions asked. Jana Downs will reveal all in timely and calculated fashion, holding my attention for more journeys to come.
