S.E.X Review~ Chalkboard Romance by Melissa Keir

Lauren Walsh, a divorcee and elementary teacher, wanted to feel sexy again, after her ex tossed her aside for a younger woman. Her teaching partner and best friend encouraged her to sign up for The Playhouse--a renowned dating agency.

Mac Thomas remained trapped in a marriage to a money grubbing socialite. Forced to stay away from his young son, Mac lost the ability to trust. After the death of his wife, he returned to care for his son but his sister wants more for him. She sets him up with The Playhouse.

Passion ignites but Mac’s a parent of one of Lauren’s students. A teacher and a parent dating could cost Lauren her job and her chance at happiness. Will Mac be able to convince the school and Lauren, that love is the most important thing?

Ms. Keir’s book Chalkboard Romance was a wonderful diversion for the afternoon. Set in a small town America you got the feel of a close knit community, a good homey feel.

Lauren, a recently divorced teacher, finds herself in need of a boost to her confidence.  Melanie, her best friend and co-teacher, encourages her to fill out the form for The Playhouse dating service.

Mac is a world traveled news reporter, with the recent death of his wife and the son he doesn't really know.  He is gun shy on meeting a woman after the mess with his marriage, and his son Todd struggles to come to terms with his mother’s death and a father just back in his life.

The story of Lauren and Mac is a sweet one with a passion and heat that jumps off the pages. I enjoyed the emotional display by the characters making you feel part of the story.  A feel good story that gives you a sense of hope for romance and love.
