Music Makes The Story
Thank
you for hosting me, Evelise!
Since
music has always been a huge part of my life, I decided to blog about theme
songs. Though I cannot play an instrument—I tried once to take guitar lessons
but missed my fake nails, lol—and I cannot sing a note—seriously birdies die
when I sing anywhere but my shower and karaoke—music is very important to me.
Not a day goes by in my home where something isn’t on the radio, from Hank Jr.
to Andrea Bocelli.
So
it would stand to reason that the books I write would have theme songs, too.
Sometimes I include it in the book, sometimes they have whole mix tapes, lol
My
book ACCIDENTALLY BEAUTIFUL
has a theme song which is not exactly the most romantic, but it is totally
fitting! In fact it has an X-rated version they don’t even play on the radio.
The
first time I heard the song, ACCIDENTALLY BEAUTIFUL
was just an idea. When I was writing it, I heard the song again and
realized...Oh My! This is the song my hero Garret would be hearing in his head
when he meets his date Martin and takes him out to an exotic gay bar secluded
on the beach of Grand Turk.
Of
course, I have been known to have a potty mouth, lol, so I would be remiss if I
didn’t include the link to the unrated version of the song..... Tonight I’m F***ing You
Despite
the blatant sexuality of the song, the story is quite romantic, even for a D/s
story. Of course there is also lots of hot sex, too!
Do
you write with music? Do you give your favorite books theme songs? I would love
to hear from you! One lucky commenter will win a copy of ACCIDENTALLY BEAUTIFUL,
available from Decadent Publishing and all reputable ebook distributors.

A 1Night Stand Story
Martin Baird is perfectly
content in his safe, predictable job as head concierge for Castillo Resorts,
but when a handsome stranger whisks him away for a night of tropical
escapades—first visiting an isolated gay bar then to a secluded beach where
erotic delights await—Martin’s world is thrown upside down. He’s never met a
man like Garret Fisher, but it seems he has been waiting for a night like this
all his life.
Could something truly beautiful come out of this accidental meeting? Or was it
really not an accident at all?
~Excerpt~
“Let’s
dance.” Garret gripped his hand.
“Oh,
I’m not sure ’bout that….” Martin dug his feet in the ground.
“Marty….”
Maybe
night should be blamed—the way a man could hide in its shadows—the alcohol or
the mysterious, sweet smoke in the air, but he silenced his protests and allowed
Garret to lead him onto the dance floor.
Taking
hold of his hips, Garret began to sway to the tropical sounds of the small band
playing steel drums and guitars while the singer filled the bar with his sultry
tones. Martin remained still, feeling foolish as men moved like liquid sex
around them. While the sight aroused him—or could it be the taste of tequila
and Garret still in his mouth?—he felt grossly inadequate. Having been trained
in classic dance, this grinding was completely foreign to him. Sure, he’d
seen it, but such dancing had been designed by the trendy, those with rhythm
and confidence.
A
familiar panic grew inside him, but then Garret’s masterful eyes twinkled out
from behind his glasses. “Trust me, Marty. I got you.”
Despite
being scared of where they were and what he already felt for Garret, the
tension in Martin’s back eased the instant Garret took his arms and placed them
around his neck. Heart pounding, Martin buried his face against his strong
throat, stubble scratching him, beard tickling him. Unbelievable gratitude and
attachment swept over him, and he relaxed into Garret, allowing him to roll
their bodies as he saw fit.
How
had he managed to stumble across this glorious man today? Moving to the exotic
music, he decided he didn’t care what beautiful accident had brought them
together. He closed his eyes and went with it. Though it might sound crazy, he
felt safe with Garret.
He
trusted him.
The
tempo of the reggae tunes and beat of their hearts set the rhythm of their
bodies. Garret slid a leg between his thighs, flush to his balls, and began a
sensual undulation of hips, gripping Martin’s butt and pressing their groins
together.
Damn,
he loved how those big hands almost covered both his cheeks.
Squeezing,
Garret pulled his ass open a little bit, and Martin moaned at the delicious
stretch of tender skin. Their hard cocks rubbed together as they moved,
exciting his blood. He’d never danced with a man before. Like making love on a
dance floor, fully clothed, with no one staring, judging. Two men doing
something straight people took for granted all the time. It was sheer heaven.
Garret
whispered his name and when he raised his face, Garret claimed his mouth—no
foreplay of lips this time, just raw hunger. Whimpering under the dominant way
he fucked his mouth, Martin arched into him, craving closeness to this force of
sexual heat and power. Though, the only way to be closer would be naked with
Garret buried deep inside him.
Fire
scorched his middle as they kissed, and he found himself thrusting in time with
the music, begging for what he suddenly needed—to be claimed in the most carnal
way. Garret ground their erections together, his hands clutching and drawing
Martin closer still. Their breaths came rough through their noses, as if
neither wished to break the connection of their mouths. Hunger, electric and
wild, raced through him when Garret trailed frantic kisses up his neck, over
his jaw, finding erogenous zones heretofore undiscovered. He trembled when
Garret sucked on his earlobe, taunting him with what his mouth might do to his
dick.
“You
taste so good, Marty. I can’t wait to eat your ass,” Garret murmured in his
ear. “Taste your cum.”
A
violent thunderbolt of desire ripped through him. “Bloody fucking hell! Aye,
please… I want ya, too…soo verra much.”
Garret
jerked his head back. “What did you say?”
“Aye,”
Martin pleaded, unbearable craving consuming him. “Evera thing ya said. I want
it, too. Please, sir….”
“Where
are you from? I’ve been trying to place your accent all night.”
“Scotland.”
Garret
groaned, his grip on Martin’s ass tightening. “That is so fucking hot,” he
said, dragging him off the dance floor, and once more into the unknown.
He
didn’t resist. Rather, just like he had been doing all night, he ran after him,
a dog in heat. “Where are we going, sir?”
Whirling
on him, lust blazed in Garret’s face. “To find somewhere I can get your dick in
my mouth.”
“Um…right.
Okay.”

BEAUTIFUL***
Deanna
Wadsworth might be a bestselling erotica author, but she leads a pretty vanilla
life in Ohio with her wonderful husband and a couple adorable cocker spaniels.
She has been spinning tales and penning stories since childhood, and her first
erotic novella was published in 2010. When she isn’t writing books or
brainstorming with friends, you can find her making people gorgeous in a beauty
salon. She loves music and dancing, and can often be seen hanging out on the
sandbar in the muddy Maumee River or chilling with her hubby and a cocktail in
their basement bar. In between all that fun, Deanna cherishes the quiet times
when she can let her wildly active imagination have the full run of her mind.
Her fascination with people and the interworkings of their relationships have
always inspired her to write romance with spice and love without boundaries.
Accidentally Beautiful was a wonderful
addition to the 1Night Stand series. Deanna Wadsworth delivered adorable and
sexy characters that melded together to bring pure joy and happiness.
Garret, Detroit
bartender was to meet his one night
stand at the tropical Castillo beach resort, when he accidentally encounters,
cute-as-a-button Martin-visiting Toronto concierge.
Garret was immediately smitten with the red-headed beauty-the hook up of his dreams, never thinking the man wasn’t his date. Martin too gravitated to the Dom-like qualities Garret exhibited and soon began an island adventure.
Ms. Wadsworth wrote a spicy romance
that satisfied all fantasies. Sexy men in carnal acts, a dose of exciting voyeurism
and a bit of D/s. Her characterization
of Martin endeared me to his shy and tranquil personality, while Garret shined
brightly with his take charge attitude.
Ms. Wadsworth wrote with a dose of
reality because, even though an HEA was delivered, the attainability would not
be without careful consideration to Martin’s job. Garret made no assumptions in
choosing Martin as his life partner and that made this reviewer fall I love
with him even more.

Yep I write to music. And I listen to everything from 70's country and western, to today's pop hits. I've been listening primarily to P!nk while writing my Beyond Fairytales submission. My favorites for this book are "Raise Your Glass" for the bar scene at the beginning of the book, "Who Said" for the conflict between my heroes, and "Just Give Me A Reason" for the climax of the story...as they struggle to stay together. (And that was probably much more than you wanted to know. LOL)
