I am so excited, The Legend of the Diamond Globe has been contracted by Siren...Enjoy, the unedited prologue....
Prologue
Cheveyo entered the
Shaman’s hut. The dream continued to haunt him nightly, and Adolfo and Eri
informed him that they were at their wits end. He tossed and turned, never
settling into a sound slumber. He needed answers.
The smell of sweet
incense wafted through Cheveyo’s nostrils as soon as he entered the hut.
“My child, I have been
expecting you.” The old man sat cross-legged on the tattered mat, a clichéd
Hawaiian shirt adorned his torso, along with a pair of board short. To anyone else,
the old man would appear to be a bum. But Cheveyo knew different. The man, an
elder and prominent member of his native Hawaiian tribe was also a shaman;
sought for his patience and wisdom.
Cheveyo smiled, bowing
respectfully, before following the motion of the shaman’s outstretched hand,
indicating he should take a seat on the other mat. Cheveyo sat Indian-style, baffled by how the shaman
always seemed to know when he needed help.
Love this story and I'm sooo excited that Siren picked it up. Way to go, chica.
