S.E.X. Review~ Seth & Casey by RJ Scott

Seth Wild is a fire fighter who has lost everything. Nearly dying in a building collapse, he is scared and angry and chases away the only good thing in his life—school teacher Casey McGuire.
When a sudden and violent snow storm hits their town he receives a message Casey and ten kids are trapped in an education center with no way out. There is no one else who can help, he’s the last fire fighter in town with his bum leg and his icy heart.
He doesn’t hesitate. He always promised he would be Casey’s hero, but will he ever again be Casey’s love?

Seth & Casey by RJ Scott was a sweet and sappy read of two well written characters who found each other again in the face of adversity.

Physically damaged, firefighter Seth was lost and in denial. His husband, Casey tried to reach him, but to no avail. In the midst of the biggest snow storm in Vermont, Seth realized there was more to life than the job he thought defined him.

The short story was just that- short. I felt there was much missing and more to write. While I love Ms. Scott’s writing and characterization I wanted more. More interaction, more back story, more future.

Nonetheless, Ms. Scott delivered a pleasant story and a nice read for a snowy afternoon.
