S.E.X. Review~ The One I Left Behind by Sterling Rivers

Sometimes, the second time around is your best chance ... and your last shot.

Golf pro Logan hides the scars of his past with a party-hard lifestyle. His biggest regret is walking away from Wylie, the man he loved in college. Wylie is the kind of man Logan wants to be: honest, comfortable in his own skin, and accepted and loved just for himself. But it’s been too long, and Logan doesn’t know if the other man can forgive him.

Wylie has always been able to see past Logan’s defenses to the soft-hearted man inside. It’s been twelve years since Logan broke his heart, and Wylie hasn’t settled down because he can’t let go. But that doesn’t mean he’s ready to get hurt again.

When an injury threatens to end Logan’s career, his so-called friends abandon him and he realizes only one person has always been there for him. Can he persuade Wylie to give him another chance, or is it too late for them to rekindle the love they shared?

The One I Left Behind is a standalone M/M romance with no cheating and a happy ending. Recommended for readers 18+ due to explicit content
.

Sterling Rivers' The One I Left Behind broached the long lost love concept as Logan and Wylie reconnected many years after college.

The story, told solely from Logan’s POV, left me bereft to like him as a man and character. I could not connect with the self-centered golfer and his level of immaturity. Wylie on the other hand was a push over and caved under Logan's wiles.

The One I Left Behind did not do it for this reviewer.
