Regan Adamson has a secret. As beta for the blackfoot pack, the only thing required of him is acting like a Dominant male. In the world of pack, switching is not an option but when he meets the omega, Titus, his resolve to ignore his need for occasional submission is put to the test.
Titus Oswin is on a mission to rescue a kidnapped group of humans. He never expected to meet his mate in the process. An admitted switch, Titus refused in the past to accept a lover who doesn’t Dominate and submit. But Regan is so deep in the submissive closet that Titus isn’t even sure the instant attraction and growing respect between them is enough for him to take a chance on their relationship.
As troubles within and without the pack arise, Regan will have to decide if being with Titus will be his ultimate downfall or if he will be saved by his surrender.
Saved by Surrender was a wonderful continuation of Jana Down’s Marked Series. Regan, pack beta is in a dilemma. As a beta, he is dominant to other wolves, so his sexuality must also reflect this; he should be a top. Problem is that Regan is a switch and desired to be dominated maybe even more than he loved to dominate. A big no-no in pack hierarchy.
Titus is also a wolf and a switch, but as an omega, he is permitted more leeway is his sexual role. When Titus and company arrived at the Blackfoot pack, the two realized they were mates, but more problems than pleasantries arose.
Jana Downs continued the story beautifully, also giving justice to previous characters and insinuating them in the lives of the new ones. I would definitely recommend that the series be read from book one and not skipped, even though ample description was found.
Ms. Downs delivered passion and turmoil in her portrayal of Regan as he internally fought the wishes of the wolf as opposed to the man. He was strong-minded and willed in his endeavors to facilitate his struggling emotions.
Titus had patience and an abundance of love which he devoted to his mate, complimenting him in his proclivities and understanding the inner fight that he faced.
Save by Surrender gave the reader a look into the workings of a very old and proud pack, with antiquated rules that needed to be brought into the new century. Ms. Downs wove a tale of struggle and turmoil, surrounded by friendship, family and love. She never failed to inspire or entertain in her writing.
Hot sex, gorgeous men. Looking forward to number five in the series? Absolutely!
