Home for six months after an undercover assignment at BDSM club Testing Leather, Homicide detective Brian Hurley can't shake the memories, or the feelings he developed, for undercover partner Griffin McManus.
Griffin's having his own problems in the aftermath of the job, and he shows up on Brian's doorstep, hoping one last night together will allow him to put it all behind him.
Will reconnecting as themselves help them let go, or will they find everything they need in each other?
Review
Breaking Cover by Sean Michael was a wonderfully erotic
story steeped in BDSM and emotion. Brian
and Griff were policemen working a deep undercover stint at Twisted Leather
BDSM Club. Both men, very macho with the
need to be in charge, revealed Griff playing submissive to Brian’s Dom. Griff soon recognized that the role play had
now become his reality as he fell hard for the Homicide officer while session
playing.
Upon completion of the assignment, both men attempted to
return to some semblance of normalcy in their lives, but soon ascertained the
emotional scars and bonds ran wide and deep. Brian and Griff yearned for a life
together; in love, lust and D/s.
Sean Michael, as
always, delivered a story filled with emotion. The angst radiated through the
pages as Griff dealt with his submissiveness and his inability to function sans
Brian. The bond and dependency they formed was very convincing and real as each
experienced emotional turmoil after separation.
The relationship was not unhealthy as they strove for mutual
satisfaction, both in their respective roles.
The sex was hot and sizzling as the reader was treated to
lust, love and kinky sex. As an author, Sean
Michael pushed the limits of BDSM without being raunchy or distasteful.
Sexy and Sizzling
A four handcuff review
sounds like a good read...I will have to get it.
