Hunter Donovan, Assistant State Attorney, is a man of justice who loves a challenge. After a lifetime of putting his career first, a milestone brings him to a harsh realization—he's lonely.
Hunter's world changes when he meets Cam. The wary young man intrigues him and awakens a desire unlike anything he's ever experienced. When Cam's past resurfaces and threatens to rip them apart, their budding relationship is challenged and Cam's hope for a future begins to dim.
These outside forces hunting Cam will stop at nothing to send him back to prison. But they'll have to get past Hunter first.
Thank you Jaime Reese for making me swoon and
fall in love all over again!
A Hunted Man, The Men of Halfway House #2 left me electrified and ready to face the world.
A Hunted Man, The Men of Halfway House #2 left me electrified and ready to face the world.
Cameron, an
ex-con, released after years of prison, has found a home at Halfway House, run
by Matthew Doner, NOT Boner and Julian Capelettii. Made to feel welcome, even
by the gruff and overprotective Julian, Cameron landed a job at the local
eatery, where he met Assistant State Attorney Hunter Donavan. Unbeknownst to
Hunter, concerning Cameron’s situation, he falls for the young man- hook, line
and sinker. Age difference aside, the men begin to form a bond that unscrupulous
characters want to destroy.
Ms. Reese packed love, angst and a
large dose of action into A Hunted Man.
Once I started reading the book, I couldn’t put it down. Cameron’s characterization
brought me to tears, as every nuance radiated through Ms. Reese’s words. His heart ache and his longing to be accepted; his
resolve broken, if not for the gentle guidance and love from Hunter.
Hunter’s
ever-present desire and need to protect Cameron held strong in the face of
danger. Ms. Reese added twists and
turns to the story that brought forth my love of a great mystery with sexy men
and high-spirited secondary characters.
Matthew and Julian, A Better Man, are an integral part of the story line. Kudos to Jaime Reese for never forgetting her original MC’s, which only accentuated the reality of A Hunted Man.

Ms. Reese established a tenderness that
slowly developed between Hunter and Cameron, which lent itself to the appeal of
the book. Tender words, and subtle actions gave way to a gentling of souls, as
Hunter and Cameron found a common ground of safe harbor and love.
A Hunted Man is a shining example of superb
writing- exquisitely developed and one that has made this reviewer’s top ten
list.
Definite S.E.X.
