I absolutely love a Caredeno C. book and the audio version
of Johnnie did not disappoint. Hugh
is a lion shifter, a powerful alpha and needs a syphon to hold his powers, lest
he implode rendering him weak and unable to care for the pride. Enter Johnnie—a
syphon with issues, too many to count. When Johnnie attempts to take his own
life, thus mildly incapacitating Hugh in the process, the lion shifter decides
that he and Johnnie will be attached at the hip. In the meantime, Hugh and
Johnnie develop an understanding based on survival.
Johnnie has always
been by Hugh’s side, always in the background, never saying a word. Even the
pride members ignore Johnnie, the young man who was only known as the Syphon-
no name.
As time goes by, Hugh
realizes there is more to Johnnie than meets the eye. The young man is witty,
