Life with vamps is never easy.
Abernathy Meyers is already mated to a vamp, Zebulon. It’s just too bad that Zebulon doesn’t give a darn about him. Abbie’s stuck with the man for eternity—or until they die. Some days, Abbie thinks that can’t happen soon enough. He’s tired of being treated badly, yet he doesn’t really want to make his earthly exit yet.
Because he’s longed for another man—another vampire—for years. Forbidden love—is anything more compelling, or more heart-breaking?
There’s a twisted past, a hidden story linking Abbie, Zebulon and the coven leader, Claude.
Claude lives with a fear of turning to dust at any moment. It isn’t reasonable, but he can’t shake it. He’s let his own fears impede his potential happiness, and instead he puts the needs of his coven first, ignoring his own. But if he’s deliberately blind to one particular human’s needs because that human is a mate to another vampire, then is Claude truly leading to the best of his ability?
It’s a tough question for him to answer and soon, he’ll have to make a choice that will affect him and Abbie, forever.

Sunshine
is Overrated is the darkest, yet appropriately
witty book in Bailey Bradford’s, The Vamp For Me #3. Abernathy, human and
mated to Zeb is unhappy, and not mated to the man of his dreams. Claude, the
leader of the rag-tag group of vamps and mates has been in love with Abernathy
for decades, but without gain, as Abbie is mated to another. Soon Abbie finds himself
in extreme danger, forcefully unmated from Zeb and on the verge of death.
Bailey
Bradford has created an interesting and deadly world of
vampires, zombies and humans.
Although there is humor
infused into the characterizations, these vampires are truly deadly people with
little regard or remorse. As I read through the series, I often wonder if all
the vamps even love their mates~ proven through Zeb’s actions against
Abernathy.
Sunshine is Overrated is not the HEA of wine and roses, although HEA’s are achieved. The Vamp For Me series is more one of convenience- survival and if love comes- all the better.
I am enjoying Ms. Bradford’s spin on the vampire
world and I look forward to reading more, especially with the infusion of a
newly turned vamp and the arrival of the young children. I believe this can
make for an interesting mix in a house where things go batty and you’re lucky if the humans don’t go bat-sh..t crazy.
