"You bottom, right? I don't mind if you want to top."
Did he prefer to top or bottom? Having never done either, Jamie wasn't sure.
Completely out at work, it was just a matter of time before his family at home found out he was gay. His brother and father were so macho, he worried how they’d take it.
But Jamie had more urgent concerns, in the bedroom, what did he want to do first?
Dylan likes guys, a lot. Especially a certain type. Muscular and masculine, like himself, and a man who’s going to take control in the bedroom.
His best friend is sweet and handsome, but not his type at all, or so he thought.
When their friendship includes additional benefits, Dylan discovers more than he expected. Jamie looks surprisingly hot without clothes.
Over 50,000 words of sweet and steamy gay romance.
*** A standalone title. ***
*** This book contains characters from the SHS series and the main character, Jamie, first appeared in A Secret Boyfriend. ***
Friends with Benefits was a quick read and part of the Friends to Lover series by HJ Perry but can be read as a stand-alone. Dylan and Jaime, friends for some time, always found companionship in each other, especially when the other was not dating- not a sexual relationship.
Soon the
friendship turned to one with benefits, but I found it to be one-sided. Jamie
was attracted to Dylan in all ways possible, but I felt Dylan used Jamie for
his own sexual release, and nothing more.
Dylan continuously
professed Jaime wasn’t his type-to anyone who’d listen- his mother, friends,
etc. Yet, when sex arose (no pun intended), Dylan as onboard. I never connected
with Dylan, as his stereotypical jabs unnerved this reader and I found it a bit
condescending. Why does there have to be a more masculine an in the relationship
and a more feminine one? I was bothered by this assumption.
Once I was able to
get past my own misgivings, I found the book charming and cute. Ms. Perry made their relationship work
and both men got what they wanted in the end.
Sexy and Sizzling
