A Most Unlikely Countess by V.L. Locey

Painfully shy Liz Argon probably shouldn`t be dreaming of Veikko Aho, star goalie for the Philadelphia Wildcats. As she works side by side with 'The Count of the Crease' on his memoirs, she finds herself falling for the handsome goaltender. His tender ways with her and her mentally fragile mother are slowly claiming her heart. If only Veikko wasn`t already engaged to a woman far better suited to move in to 'The Count`s' world. In book two of the To Love a Wildcat series, we`ll see if a glass slipper can survive in the rough and tumble world of professional ice hockey.

Ms. Locey’s book A Most Unlikely Countess ( To Love A Wildcat Series) is an interesting look into the lives of hockey players and the woman that love them. This is the second in the series. Not a bad idea to read in order so you know who all the people are.

Elizabeth Jean Argon works at the paper writing up the obits of the small town. She likes to be invisible to the world.  Lizzie has a kind heart and will defend others around her, but feels she is unworthy of such things. Lizzie is a wonderful character that you just want to cheer for her to find her happy ending.

Veikko Aho is a hockey player with a problem. In a relationship that is not working and starting to affect his game- when a shy, goth girl comes into his life to write his life story. He never thought he would find the woman of his dreams writing his story. Things soon become heated as their passion flairs.

This was a wonder read, I really enjoyed the story of this amazing couple. The supporting characters were great, from Lizzie’s Mom to Maggie, the woman that works with her. The sex was sweet and hot at the same time. This is a great weekend read for sure.
