Blurb

When they spend time alone on a Montana mountainside will Tyler ever convince Martin that like sapphires, love is worth searching for?

Martin’s name was the very last on a kill list. The son of a murderer, he’s had no childhood; lost in a horrific holding pattern of death that turned his heart to stone. Thanks to the man who called him brave and spared his life, he no longer has to look over his shoulder, but he does have one question. Why did Justin let him live?

Tyler Colby has identified a major flaw in the seismic mapping system used to monitor earthquake activity. Sent to Crooked Tree by his employer, the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology, he is tasked with adding a new remote station to the network. The installation should be his entire focus, but the lure of sapphires and his attraction to a heartbroken young man called Martin is enough to make him want more.

Montana Sky, Montana book 6 by R.J. Scott was a wonderful full circle, friendship and love can conquer all book. The past arrived in the present in this well-written story, as Justin’s path crossed with Jamie’s (now Martin) with the potentiality for worlds to collide.

The Montana series should be read in order, as the world building continued throughout with the needed back story of the main characters.

Martin came to Crooked Tree Ranch for the one burning question which bugged him for years~ why did Justin let him live. In the hopes of finding his answer, Justin convinced him to stay around to also speak to Adam (previous books and part of the overall story), and temporarily work on the ranch. I adored Justin and his wisdom. A man who has seen much and experienced just as much; Justin knew what was best for Martin, even if Martin didn’t.

Enter Tyler, geologist who will be staying on the outskirts of the ranch taking seismic readings and in need of some muscle and assistance. Paired with Martin, Tyler soon realized there was more to the quiet introspective man with nightmares.

Tyler and Martin were the quintessential slow burn romance. No jump in the sack kind of guys, their tenderness and feelings for each other developed throughout and made for a beautiful happy ending.

Martin did get his answers, Martin did confront Adam (with Justin), and Martin got a new lease on life. The ending was lovely and put a smile on my face. I enjoyed each one of the Montana books, and just maybe Montana Sky could be my favorite.

Definite S.E.X.
