When his internet fame puts him in danger, and a stalker threatens his life, the team hires Jason, a quiet but deadly former marine, to protect him. Danger is always close, but forced proximity means sparks fly, attraction burns, and somehow, resentment turns to love.
When Garrett’s stalker ups their game at a charity bachelor auction, there is a real chance it could mean the end for Garrett, but Jason refuses to leave his side whatever the risk.
These two stubborn men will have to fight to walk away from this alive, but their newfound love is worth every sacrifice.

Guarding Garrett by RJ Scott was worth the read as part of the Hockey Allies Bachelor Bid romances. Garrett, part of the hockey world, and the bachelor’s auction was under fire by an unknown stalker. Enter Jason, bodyguard and co-owner of Dearmax Consultancy, hired to keep Garrett safe while attempting to discover who wanted to harm the man.
I liked Garrett from the first book that I read in the romances, Keeping Kyle. I was happy to read Garrett’s story and learn about his life. Garrett was cocky, but in a likable way- he exuded confidence and swagger, while being humble. I appreciated his characterization through the author’s eyes.
I especially liked Jason- ex Marine turned bodyguard. Yes, aptly cliched, but worked so well, as did the coupling of him with Garrett.
Guarding Garrett’s who-dun-it, sexy hockey players, and sexy romances all made for a great read.
