S.E.X. Review~ Home Again by Cardeno C. Audio by Alexander Collins

Imposing, temperamental Noah Forman wakes up in a hospital and can't remember how he got there. He holds it together, taking comfort in the fact that the man he has loved since childhood is on the way. But when his one and only finally arrives, Noah is horrified to discover that he doesn't remember anything from the past three years.
Loyal, serious Clark Lehman built a life around the person who insisted from their first meeting that they were meant to be together. Now, years later, two men whose love has never faltered must relive their most treasured and most painful moments in order to recover lost memories and secure their future.

Talk about a roller coaster ride. Cardeno C's Home Again left me emotionally wrung and heart-heavy with love. Add in the narration by Alexander Collins and CC delivered another winner.

Young Noah led a tumultuous life- going against the norm at every turn and bucking the system. Four years older, Clark had always been his lifeline and the person he'd loved since he was thirteen.

Clark eventually came to terms with his feelings for Noah and the two men began an us against the world attitude. Exploits ran amok and Noah and Clark struggled to get their lives back on track.

I loved the depths of the emotional connection between the two men and the love they felt for each other. Every tear shed, smile and laugh I connected with the MC’s.

Mr. Collins once again brought a Cardeno C novel to life with his sultry voice and character inflection. This book captivated me and gave me joy. Another satisfied HEA.

S.E.X. Spotlight ~ Review~ Strong Enough & Love at First Sight Audio Tour

SE & LAFS - tour header

Strong Enough

Strong Enough: Family Collection

  • Written by: Cardeno C.
  • Narrated by: Ezekiel Robison
  • Length: 6 hrs and 43 mins

SYNOPSIS

When a casual hookup turns into the potential for love, staid Spencer realizes he wants to build a life with vibrant Emilio.
When 22-year-old Emilio Sanchez sees handsome Spencer Derdinger walking by his construction site, Emilio makes it his goal to seduce the shy professor. Getting Spencer into bed isn't difficult, but Emilio soon learns that earning the trust of a man deeply hurt will take time and patience. With a prize like brilliant, sweet Spencer on the line, Emilio decides he is strong enough to face the challenge.
Spencer is surprised when he's approached by the gorgeous construction worker he's admired from the safety of his office window. Acting spontaneously for the first time in his 38 years, Spencer takes Emilio home. When the casual hookup turns into the potential for love, Spencer realizes that if he wants to build a life with Emilio, he'll need to be strong enough to slay his personal demons and learn to trust again.

Strong Enough by Cardeno C. was a beautiful, sentimental love story that warmed my insides and put a smile on my face. I loved the younger confident man meets shy older professor story line. Emilio spotted Spencer while working at the college and was immediately smitten with the man and knew he could be “the one”. Now he had to convince Spencer that age didn’t matter and love was worth the chance.

The dynamics between Emilio and Spencer flew off the pages as their synergy meshed and their personalities complimented each other. Cardeno C. characterized Emilio as just a tad assertive, but the man knew who and what he wanted; this writing worked and accentuated their story.

The strong familial ties were well constructed as Emilio’s family was written as an integral part of his life; nosy pushy siblings who could torture you with a smile on their faces as the drop of a hat, but no one else better mess with you! This attitude also transcended towards Spencer as he was immediately welcomed into the family. I felt an immediate connection with the large Latin family~ as I am also Latina~ where everyone knows your business and isn’t afraid to offer advice or mettle.

Ezekiel Robison~ kudos to a wonderfully engaging narration. As always a job well done.

Strong Enough held the meaning of life~ who one falls in love with can’t always be helped, a family should always be on your side, and but if there is strength of will and character, love will be found. Cardeno C. wrote strength in Emilio and Spencer and happiness prevailed.

S.E.X. Review~ The One Who Saves Me by Cardeno C.

Boyfriends come and go but best friends are forever has always been Andrew and Caleb's mantra. Can they be both?
At fourteen, Andrew Thompson and Caleb Lakes become best friends. As the years pass, they stand by each other through family trauma, school, and the start of their careers. They share their first sexual experiences, learning and experimenting, and they talk each other through countless dates and breakups.
Decades of trust and loyalty build a deep and abiding friendship, one that surpasses any relationship in their lives. But when the parameters of their unique friendship change, neither man knows how to break out of their established roles to build something new. After all, boyfriends come and go, but best friends are forever.

I never get tired of a Cardeno C. book. Always captivating, witty and chock full of sex, The One Who Saves Me did not disappoint— and especially one narrated by Alexander Collins.

Andrew and Caleb have been best buds. Together every summer, exploring their sexuality and always having each other’s back, the two men rummage through life, thick and thin— even through every boyfriend and breakup.

As I listened to the book, I wondered why the two men couldn’t just stop being **** buddies and get with the program of realizing they were each other’s everything. Under the careful words of Cardeno C.’s writing I soon realized the men needed to come full circle and experience the turmoil of life in order to find what each needed was right in front of him. I loved both men and their wit and character had me laughing, crying and just plain smiling.

Alexander Collins’ narration delivered instant gratification and allowed me to get to know the main characters on a more personal level. His inflection and cadence brought Andrew and Caleb to life.

The One Who Saves Me was sexy and erotic and left little to the imagination. A must read for any fan of hot men.

S.E.X. Review~ Where He Ends and I Begin ~ Cardeno C. ~ Narrated by Alexander Collins

Aggressive, physical, and brave, Jake Owens is a small town football hero turned big city cop who passes his time with meaningless encounters believing he can't have who he really wants: Nate Richardson, his best friend since before forever. Thoughtful, quiet, and kind, Nate is a brilliant doctor who has always known who he is and has never been able to shake his crush on loyal, courageous, straight Jake.

After a passionate night together, Nate realizes Jake isn't as straight as he assumed, but he worries that what they shared was a fluke, a result of too much closeness for too long. For Jake, the question isn't how they ended up in bed together because he has always known that Nate holds his heart; it's how he'll convince Nate that he wants and needs to stay there.

I thoroughly enjoyed Where He Ends and I Begin by Cardeno C., narrated by Alexander Collins. The title appropriately fit the story as Jake and Nate begin their life before each other was a glimmer in their mother’s eye and from birth were two peas in a pod.

The wonderful pretext of the story, life-long friends, a loving relationship and then lovers allowed the author to captivate us with the journey that was Jake and Nate.

Both men were loving and exhuberant in their joint lives and holy hell, their love making. Once sex was brought to the table and Jake and Nate realized a life together as couple was possible, no one held back. ~ S.E.X.~

The story was told from both men’s POV for the same events, but was clearly delineated in the author’s writing and Mr. Collins narration. Nicely done!

I enjoyed Jake and Nate’s love story and the journey they took to achieve their happiness.
