Wow! All I can say is WOW! Ends of the Earth by Kiera Andrews was so much more than I expected. I read the blurb and was immediately intrigued but the premise. Lonely ranger; single dad with inquisitive daughter; and a wanted criminal- only time would tell, if this reader was truly satisfied and YES, Ms. Andrews did not disappoint.

Ends of the Earth was much more than an age gap MM romance. It was a mystery filled with harrowing experiences and intrigue.

As always, I want a satisfying romance, but one of my real passions is either mystery or historical romance. Ends of the Earth was a wonderfully written mystery drama- not of the whodunit type but of the kidnapping and go to the ends of the earth to save the child type.

Ben and Jason were soulful characters- filled with desire and passion. Each man exuded a sense of worthiness; even if they didn’t feel it at the moment. I adored Maggie, Jason’s daughter and her zest for life and learning. And of course, the insertion of my hometown was a plus.

My only negative- I definitely needed more. A second book? Just asking, for a friend.

Ms. Andrews, you hit this one out of the park.

I love a good Christmas story and Keira Andrews hit it out of the park with The Christmas Deal. A holiday story which could have easily been a full length novel, this tale will surely make you smile and know that Christmas miracles do occur.

Seth and Logan were thrown together by happenstance, each playing the part of loving boyfriend for Seth’s very family oriented boss-lady. Tossed in Logan’s teenage cantankerous stepson and the holiday spirit was in full swing.

Ms. Andrews delivered an emotional story of loss, angst, and downtrodden while attempting to lighten the mood with sprinkles of festivity. And yes, she succeeded.

I believed every nuance, and even though I thought the language delivered by Connor (stepson) was a bit over the top, I could see the sullen young man reacting as he did.

I enjoyed the secondary characters, especially Jenna, Logan’s sister. She was quick witted with a killer sense of humor.

Seth and Logan were adorable characters, as they navigated from pretend to not, and Logan came to the realization that being bisexual was only a label placed by society.

The Christmas Deal was a treat.

While I enjoyed Flash Rip by Keira Andrews, there were also some things that rubbed me the wrong way. As always, my review is solely my opinion.

An age gap story on the beaches of Australia, I sometimes felt I needed a translator in order to understand the lingo. That aside, the descriptors Ms. Andrews wrote, transported me to the white beaches and swims in the ocean.

Cody was out and proud, a Canadian transplant, his love of the beach fit well for the Australian life guard life style. Liam, older by numerous years was a conflicted ex sports phenom who was buried so deep in the closet, the deadbolt and padlock were fixed in place.

Cody was immediately attracted to the older man, and although Liam also felt the pull he traversed a line between desire and despair. Once the men got together, the sex was off the charts and they learned to live with secrets. This was were I was pulled out of the story. Liam’s constant lamenting about being discovered was more of a whiney child who wanted everything his way. Cody’s placating him got old very quickly, and I wanted Liam to be outed- he was one way- although his profession of caring for Cody and the need for secrecy ran rampant.

Liam’s parents were obnoxiously annoying and a man well into his thirties should not care so much what bigoted mommy and daddy think, and should be able to stand on his own two feet.

I found the secondary characters (the other life guards) engaging and delightful, adding to the storyline.

Unfortunately, not even the HEA kept this reader satisfied, as I was already annoyed with Liam.

I adored Honeymoon for One by Keira Andrews. Clay and Ethan were beautiful characters in this younger-slightly older romantic tale. After a dramatic discovery the eve before his wedding, Ethan decided to take the honeymoon adventure of a lifetime and headed to Australia for weeks of drowning his sorrows and hopefully lifting his spirits.

Clay, hunky Australian and tour guide befriended Ethan and soon found the man to be someone important who had stepped into his life. 

Previously married, Clay never gave much consideration to having a same sex relationship, yet soon his need to be with Ethan overrode all. 

The dynamics between the two was lovely and together they made a complete couple. Ethan’s patience, Clay’s quiet resolve, a yin-yang of friendship and love.

Ms. Andrews hit it out of the park, portraying sincere characters, with real issues, and a positive atmosphere.

Rafa’s parents certainly don’t approve of his romance with forty-year-old Shane, and they’re determined to make him see reason. They don’t see how their son could possibly be happy settling down with an older man, and they question Shane’s motives. Shane and Rafa just want a normal life together—but when they must suddenly battle for survival, they fight to prove their fierce love can withstand any threat.

This gay romance from Keira Andrews is the conclusion of the Valor duology. It features a May-December age difference, sex on the beach, and of course a happy ending.

Test of Valor, the sequel to Valor on the Move by Keira Andrews was a wonderfully written ending to a nice duet of books.

Rafa and Shane moved onto the next chapter of their lives, love and happiness in Australia. 

Ms. Andrews wrote of family issues and concerns as the two heroes waded through relationship dilemmas with Rafa’s family- the ex-President and First Lady.

Tragedy enveloped the story, but an HEA was delivered leaving this reader smiling and content.

I grew to like Rafa and Shane even more in book two and would recommend.

S.E.X. Review~ Valor on the Move by Keira Andrews

He’d give his life to protect the president’s son. But he never expected to risk his heart.

Growing up gay in the White House hasn’t been easy for Rafael Castillo. Codenamed “Valor” by the Secret Service, Rafa feels anything but brave as he hides in the closet and tries to stay below the radar in his last year of college. His father’s presidency is almost over, and he just needs to stick to his carefully crafted plan. Once his family’s out of the spotlight, he can be honest with his conservative parents about his sexuality and his dream of being a chef.

It’s definitely not part of Rafa’s plan to get a new Secret Service agent who’s a walking wet dream, but he’s made it this long keeping his desires to himself. Besides, it’s not like Shane Kendrick would even look at him twice if it wasn’t his job.

Shane’s worked his way up through the Secret Service ranks, and while protecting the president’s shy, boring son isn’t his dream White House assignment, it’s an easy enough task since no one pays Rafa much attention. He discovers there’s a vibrant young man beneath the timid public shell, and while he knows Rafa has a crush on him, he assures himself it’s harmless. Shane’s never had room for romance in his life, and he’d certainly never cross that line with a protectee. Keeping Rafa safe at any cost is Shane’s mission.

But as Rafa gets under his skin, will they both put their hearts on the line?

This gay romance from Keira Andrews is the first part of the Valor duology and features a May-December age difference, Jane Austen levels of pining, forbidden love against the odds, and of course a happy ending.

Valor on the Move by Keira Andrews was a wonderfully written story of younger-older romance. Who doesn’t want to fall in love with their bodyguard? And for Rafa, a First Kid, he did just that. 

The dynamics between Shane, a Secret Service Agent and Rafa, his protectee was well delivered. Ms. Andrews did a nice job of developing the story and following through to the end. If I have to say anything negative about the book was that the line was crossed when Shane developed a sexual relationship with his protectee. Additionally, the two hid the relationship even when things went belly up (the cover up bothered me).

Both Shane and Rafa were likable characters and I enjoyed their story. I look forward to the next book.
