Excerpt:

“Look, I’m sorry. But I don’t know how to do this.”

“Do what, exactly?” JT’s voice was casual, but his Adam’s apple bobbed nervously when he swallowed. A couple of weeks ago, I’d have said JT Wellbridge didn’t know how to be vulnerable, but now I knew better… and that knowledge did not make it any easier to navigate this situation. “What can I do or say that will put you at ease and help you enjoy our time here? Do you want me to promise this means something? Or that it… doesn’t? Whatever you need, I’ll do.”

He seemed to wince when he said he could tell me it didn’t mean anything. The idea of hurting him only made me more tense.

“You have to understand, I’ve never had a vacation. I almost never even have days off. I don’t really know how to…” I motioned vaguely with my hands to indicate the entire strange concept of purposefully doing nothing.

“How to vacation? Really?”

I shook my head, feeling my face heat in embarrassment. Normal people took vacations even if they stayed home and did some projects around the house. But I’d never been able to afford it. With the inconsistent income from the Retreat, my parents couldn’t be counted on to support my siblings’ education, so I’d done it. At least… I’d done it to the best of my ability. In fact, I was still doing it since PJ had finally started art school.

JT’s hands came up to frame my face. “Take a deep breath and hold it.”

“Don’t Willow me,” I warned. “I was doing meditation breathing in the womb. It doesn’t work for me.”

“Not like this.” He leaned in and ghosted his lips across my cheek, over my forehead, down my nose. His lips almost touched my skin but not quite. I didn’t realize I was holding my breath, but I knew every molecule of my skin was begging for him. “Close your eyes,” he whispered against my neck. “And guess where my lips are going to go next.”

After enjoying creative writing as a child, Lucy didn’t write her first novel until she was over 40 years old. Her debut novel, Borrowing Blue, was published in the autumn of 2016. Lucy has an English Literature degree from Vanderbilt University, but that doesn’t hold a candle to the years and years of staying up all night reading tantalizing novels on her own. She has three children, plays tennis, and hates folding laundry. While her husband is no shmoopy romance hero, he is very good at math, cooks a mean lasagne, has gorgeous eyes, looks hot in his business clothes, and makes her laugh every single day.

S.E.X. Review~ BTW (By the Way) by Lucy Lennox & Molly Maddox

My assignment is simple: go to the Cape and seal the real estate deal for my most important client. No problem. I’m good at my job, I know how to close a sale, and this time won’t be any different.

Until I meet Sawyer, the sexy young bartender I accidentally kiss in the broom closet. Turns out, he’s one of the owners I’m here to negotiate with.

Okay, so that complicates things. As does the fact that he doesn’t want to sell. Or that we can’t keep our hands off each other despite being on opposite sides. And most of all… that I might be falling for him even though I know better. I’ve made the mistake of falling for a younger man before and I won’t do it again.

Sawyer:

For me, family is everything, and nothing represents ours more than the Sea Sprite, the motel that’s been in my family for eighty years. Sure, others (*cough*James*cough*) may describe it as rundown or derelict or in desperate need of a wrecking ball. But I call it our legacy.

I’ve got plans -- big plans to renovate the motel back to its vintage glory. The only thing standing in my way is James Allen, the fancy-schmancy lawyer from New York with his adorable smile, jaw-dropping assets, and his client’s millions of dollars.

James seems hellbent on destroying my future. But maybe there’s a way for us to build a new one together...

BTW- By the Way- by Lucy Lennox and Molly Maddox was a terrific addition to the After Oscar series. From the moment I read the first book, I have laughed and cried, and BTW did not disappoint. Each book delivered something different and enjoyable- humor, snarkiness, and sometimes angst. James and Sawyer lit the pages of my e-reader from the start; sensuous kisses, flirtatious behavior and all that before the actual hook up. They made me smile, laugh, and shed a few tears. Their personalities grew with each encounter and together they were better than separate.

The secondary characters created a depth of discovery as each person shed light on the lives of the main characters. I can’t wait to read Richard’s story in the next book.

The writing duo of Lennox and Maddox wrote a heart-warming story, of which I have come to expect and appreciate. I look forward to each of their books and barrel through them with anticipation.

If you have not started the After Oscar series read the books in order- each character delivered laughter and levity and you will fall in love with the vivacious Oscar.

Can I get an Amen?! My auto read author Lucy Lennox has done it again with her super sexy book, King Me, A Forever Wilde novel. Kingston Wilde aka Le Chaton was an elusive art thief who decided after years “on the job” to give it all up and take a new path.

Enter Agent Falcon, who for years attempted to capture Le Chaton, when just as he had the man in his sights, poof!

I have to admit when I read the blurb making one of my favorite family sons a criminal I was astounded, confused, and intrigued~ thinking, this could never work. But, as always, Ms. Lennox came through, with not only a wonderful story, but world building so King came out better on the flip side.

King Wilde was complicated, yet gentle and kind, regardless of his past profession. An art enthusiast who trusted the wrong man, King was able to make all the wrongs right and forge ahead to a better life.

Falcon, the gruff agent came full circle not only professionally, but personally. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and although it sometimes did, things still worked out in the end.

Falcon’s team was an integral part of the story, especially Mouse, and I hope to meet them again in future books.

Additionally, many members of the Wilde family made appearances, Doc and Grandpa, MJ, and other siblings~ always adding a special touch to any Forever Wilde book.

The characters were charismatic, well-rounded, fun, and oh so sexy. King Me was a great addition and continuation to the series. Ms. Lennox does a great job of keeping her story lines together, especially when they overlap. Kudos to another hit!
