S.E.X. Review~ Rainey's Release by Jenna Byrnes

A madman targets gay drug addicts. Can the KCPD track down the latest serial killer before more blood is shed?

Detective William Rainey is the newest man assigned to the KCPD’s Homicide Division, having just relocated from St. Louis with his life partner, Joshua Wolf. When a murder with the same MO as several St. Louis crimes takes place, the similarities are hard to ignore. The investigation turns personal and soon hits close to home. A suspect comes to light and Will finds himself in a battle to solve the most important case of his life. Enlisting the help of Detectives James Dixon and Nick Peyton is tricky when the men don’t feel like they know him yet. Can he earn their trust before it’s too late?

Will and Joshua have catapulted to the top of my men to love list. Jenna Byrnes’ Rainey’s Release book 6 in the Kansas City Heat series was phenomenal. The men were sexy, the characterization superb and the writing fluid.

Ms. Byrnes hit it out of the park. Will, a new homicide detective has transferred to Kansas City where Dixon and some of the characters from the Heat series work. Will must learn to not only fit into a tight-knit police community but also find his way with the love of his life Joshua. Joshua was a sexy Native American―tall, dark hair and mounds of muscles.

Every nuance Ms. Byrnes wrote endeared me to Joshua, making me want to wrap him in my arms and hug him, love him, squeeze himTogether Will and Josh were naturally sweet with sex-appeal abound.

By far, Rainey’s Release has been my favorite of the series. The perfect mixture of drama and mystery and lots of loving―Rainey’s Release is ….

Definite S.E.X.
