S.E.X. Review~ For the Love of a Boy by Morticia Knight

I was living in darkness. Cold and alone, I was gripped by the agony of loss and grieving for an existence I no longer believed I could have. Then he appeared in my life and I thought that maybe, just maybe, I’d been gifted with another chance at happiness. That I might be allowed the privilege of loving and caring for another man.

That I could have my very own boy…

A new beginning is more than Malcolm ever dared wish for.

Now that Malcolm has claimed Seth as his boy, he’s determined to be the perfect Daddy for the man he adores. Whatever his boy needs, he’ll make sure he gets it. But more than that, he’s sworn in his heart to protect him with his life. Seth’s bastard of a father and the twisted church that abused his boy had better stay away from them—or else.

Seth has discovered comfort and safety in his Daddy’s arms.

Finally, Seth accepts that a life filled with joy is possible. He believes that love is what matters more than anything and that he has nothing to be ashamed of. However, the demons of his past still taunt him, lurking in the shadows of his mind where they try and snatch away his happiness. Sometimes it seems as if his lingering fears will never be vanquished.

And sometimes, being afraid is a warning that should be heeded…

Note: For the Love of a Boy is the continuation of Malcolm and Seth's journey of love, redemption and healing in the Father series trilogy. The first book, In the Name of the Father, should be read prior to this one. However, you can be assured that none of the books in the Father series end on a cliffhanger and that this age gap, Daddy/boy series with lots of hurt/comfort contains a sweet forever after.

For the Love of a Boy, Morticia Knight’s second book in her Father series was a nice addition to the Malcolm and Seth trilogy. As Malcolm and Seth progressed in their relationship and the dynamics of Daddy Dom and Boy, the world around them continued to revolve with the investigation into Seth’s former church and the boy’s father.

I know I have stated this before- daddy books are not my thing- but Ms. Knight always writes a well done story that captivates and intrigues.

The relationship between Malcolm and Seth flourished, and under Ms. Knight’s careful script, their life was not forced. The dialogue was tasteful and the sex was very hot.

Seth deserved every happiness available as did Malcolm, and together the men forged through for a solid relationship.

S.E.X. Review~ Noah's Bane by Wulf Francu Godgluck

Finding his very own Daddy is harder than finding Prince Charming.

Noah Lavoie isn't anyone special, an average guy working as a veterinarian with a few kinks and fetishes. For too many years he explored the BDSM lifestyle, but consistently felt something remained missing. In a world of black and white, Noah struggles to understand where to find the gray.

Then…
A mysterious contract.
No strings attached.
Never to know the Dominant’s identity.
Noah clings onto his only hope, a man he can call Daddy.

Cold, ruthless, charismatic. Bane Rozek believes himself impenetrable. He built his empire, fabricated from lies, blackmail, and extortion. Dark secrets he holds in his palm could cripple the most powerful of people and organizations. It's all a lie, a simple illusion to hide his truth.

He did it all, built his fortress and claimed his power and sovereignty, for her. But Bane knows Death’s chaste kiss intimately. What Bane wants is a connection.

This time on his terms…
An innocent boy offering the purest submission.
A contract holding them both at a distance.
A boy that tugs fiercely at Bane’s dark heart.
If only Bane could believe himself worthy to be the Daddy Noah proclaims to love.

I knew the premise of Noah’s Bane by Wulf Francu Godluck when I agreed to read and review the book; Daddy/boy, heavy BDSM, and dark. Some of the preceding characteristics are my cup of tea, some not. But, regardless, no matter what my feelings, if you like dark, edgy, and erotic- this book is for you.

Noah and Bane had an interesting relationship. Noah wanted to belong and be someone’s boy, Bane was a daddy who didn’t want a relationship, but did want a submissive boy. Together the men formed an interesting relationship with an even more interesting dynamics. Do not look for loving platitudes, or date night, because crime boss persona Bane was just that- and don’t look for him to change, because it was not going to happen.

The book was filled with bondage, biting, and some choking- and that wasn’t simply on the BDSM side.

The author did a nice job of delivering the information with flashbacks in order to demonstrate how Bane became the bad guy he was.  Where I had issues was the up and down and the emotional roller coaster of each man. The Daddy/boy relationship was not traditionally my thing, so I tended to block some of that and kept reading. I am not demeaning that type of relationship, it’s just not my cup of tea.

The second half of the book became even darker than the first, and although we knew Bane wasn’t a nice man, I found him almost cruel. The men received their HEA, but attitudes and demeanors did not change, so don’t expect it.

Many people were also introduced in the second half, which at times was confusing, but I am also surmising this will lend itself to future books.

Dark and edgy, Noah’s Bane was…..
