Born Daddy, Command & Care series by Morticia Knight was a nice read about the daddy/boy dynamics. What I truly enjoyed about the book was the serial killer storyline and how it affected all the major parties of the book.

Rogan was a strong character, secure in himself and finally able to capitalize on his take- charge and nurturing feelings. The man was born to be a daddy and if not for Tate, he would have never figured it out.

Tate, the ex-lover of a serial killer came with baggage and insecurities, but by Rohan’s side, blossomed into the boy he always was meant to be.

Ms. Knight delivered warmth and care in Born Daddy. A nice addition to the series, although can be read as a stand alone.

VIP Access by Morticia Knight was sexy and sizzling. Part of the Road to Roctoberfest series, Zen rocked the music both as the lead of Glitter Kink and as a dom. Braylin was also a larger than life character but in a different way. This new guitarist to the band was also a sub and starting a relationship with the larger than life Zen.

Ms. Knight delivered rock n roll, bdsm, and sexy characters in VIP Access. The slow burn relationship building between Zen and Braylin hit the mark as the two men explored their D/s mode while not allowing things to interfere in the band. The gentleness displayed by Zen endeared this reader to him even more as he took Braylin under his wing and coaxed the submissiveness to the surface and to life.

Never one to turn down a Morticia Knight book, this one hit all the marks for everything in a short read.

It’s no secret that Daddy books are not at the top of my list, but if Morticia Knight wrote the book, then I’m in. The third installment in her Father series, Now and Forever was a wonderful ending to the start of a beautiful story. Malcolm and Seth found each other and began a very specific and special relationship which evolved throughout each story. The dynamics between the two were mutual consent and compassion; developed by the careful hand of the author.

A Daddy kink book is not a child-adult relationship, but one of shared respect and understanding, allowing one person to take the burdens of another. Ms. Knight gave the characters depth, which in turn convinced this reader of the believability of the story.

Seth was able to finally put his past behind him and move on fully in his life with Malcolm, making the story all the better. Seth’s vulnerability shone throughout, but more importantly, so did Malcolm’s, giving credence to the authenticity of each character.

A beautiful tale by an exceptional author.

I enjoyed Morticia Knight’s newest release, Boy Issues, Command & Care. A daddy kink, with an older boy/younger papi- the book was an interesting twist to the normal dynamics.

Silver, a papi dom was in his mid-twenties, and in search of a boy of his own. Enter Donovan, billionaire CEO of the family dynasty, in need of a strong yet gentle hand. The relationship between the two men started slow, but once they connected, the story went at warped speed. I felt like I turned the page and it was over. Although I liked the characters and the overall story, the second half was rushed and needed so much more storyline. Donovan was almost too whiny and a doormat- with the way he allowed his father and brother to treat him. The angst was resolved but this reader was left with so many unanswered questions and things were smoothed over.

The start of a new series, my hope is that we will see more of Silver and Donovan, because their story needs a 2.0.

However, you can be assured that none of the books in the Father series end on a cliffhanger and that this age gap, Daddy/boy series with lots of hurt/comfort contains a sweet forever after.

For the Love of a Boy, Morticia Knight’s second book in her Father series was a nice addition to the Malcolm and Seth trilogy. As Malcolm and Seth progressed in their relationship and the dynamics of Daddy Dom and Boy, the world around them continued to revolve with the investigation into Seth’s former church and the boy’s father.

I know I have stated this before- daddy books are not my thing- but Ms. Knight always writes a well done story that captivates and intrigues.

The relationship between Malcolm and Seth flourished, and under Ms. Knight’s careful script, their life was not forced. The dialogue was tasteful and the sex was very hot.

Seth deserved every happiness available as did Malcolm, and together the men forged through for a solid relationship.

If you enjoyed Daddy kink with a loving boy, In the Name of the Father by Morticia Knight is the book for you. Malcolm was a Daddy dom, who had previously lost his boy, tragically taken by cancer. Alone and sure he would never find love again, Malcolm was astounded when a chance encounter with a lost young man crossed his path.

Seth was raised in an ultra-conservative and religious house, but escaped his lot in life and forged towards a new life. His first meeting with Malcolm would change his life forever.

I knew the theme of Ms. Knight’s book was a daddy dom and although this was not particularly a favorite of mine, as a total fan girl of M.K. I knew I had to read this. Personal choice, but I have a hard time hearing a grown man call another daddy. I completely understand the power exchange between the two men and the need for one to nurture the other, but…..shivers run down my spine.

But, as always, Ms. Knight delivered a well- crafted book which took me out of myself and through an enjoyable read. I appreciated the external dilemmas and nuances which gave credence to the turmoil and suffering Seth encountered. The author did not gloss over the circumstances but challenged them head on and offered real world solutions. The sad part, I’m sure there are still people in this day and age who think like Seth’s conservative family.

I look forward to reading more of Malcolm and Seth’s story  in future books. Kudos to Ms. Knight for sucking me in and making me enjoy a story which I had reservations about reading, and now you make me wait for book two.

In the Name of the Father will take you through a story of growth and acceptance. Of friendship and love. Of a nurturing relationship in which  consensual and safe were the key, and paramount to the development of the main characters relationship.

Just as good as the first go-round, Rules of Love, Hampton Road Club book 2 by Morticia Knight was everything I looked for in a historical romance. Dominant Saul, one of the men of Hampton Road Club wanted things to change at the BDSM gathering house. Enter Kenneth, a sweet older submissive who’d lost his first master, and his new one was slightly off kilter, Saul desired to claim Kenneth for his own.

What I loved about this book, among so many things, was the inception of the rules of play for those in the lifestyle. History shows that everything must have a beginning, and in writing this book, Morticia Knight took the readers to the start of the BDSM contract, the delicate balance between dominant and submissive, and the knowledge that the sub held all the power.

Saul’s gentle demeanor and careful guidance took Kenneth from a dark place, to a place of light and love; a place where the man would be cherished for the beautiful soul he carried and was.

It is no secret that I am a fan of Ms. Knight and her historical writing, So Rules of Love was just up my ally. The characters lived throughout the pages, their grief and sorrow, worries and happiness all shown throughout giving this book an appeal to historical romance and to the M/M genre. History told us what occurred to men who chose to lie with another male, and Ms. Knight gave the readers a safe and consensual place for this love to blossom and flourish.

Cruella can’t wait to show Ray the ropes…

Working at Rogue Ink is a dream job for Cruella, especially being around the hunky co-owner, Ray. Even though the money isn’t great, the eye candy and Ray’s caring heart make it all worthwhile. When Cruella risks rejection by inviting Ray to be their partner for a shibari class at Kiss of Leather, they’re thrilled when Ray accepts.

Cruella’s invitation both excites and terrifies Ray. He wants Cruella, but does he also want to become more kink aware? Still, he could kick himself for not already making a move on the sweet and beautiful Cruella, so maybe this is his chance. His protective instincts have gotten him into serious trouble before, so he’ll be sure not to make the same mistake with Cruella. They’ve made it clear they can take care of themself.

Cruella fears that Ray won’t accept their genderqueer identity and Ray aches to be the strong man Cruella needs. However, when Cruella’s dark past intrudes on their blissful present, Ray’s definition of strength might turn out to be harsher than Cruella is willing to accept.

Kink Aware by Morticia Knight was a wonderful addition to the Kiss of Leather series. From the first book in the series to this one, Ms. Knight took her readers on a roller coaster ride tackling mature topics and issues and doing it with grace and clarity. We previously met Cruella, a genderqueer who longed to find a loving and accepting relationship. Unbeknownst to Cruella, Ray, an owner of a Rogue, Ink, admired and pined for them from afar.

Ms. Knight gave Cruella a new dimension, multi-faceted and intriguing in their acceptance of themselves and their life evolution. Cruella’s ability to be comfortable in their skin was well defined and written through the author’s careful consideration and gave credence to their identity.

Ray and Cruella’s journey was heart-felt and touching and the insertion of old friends from previous books was a nice touch. So many times an author forgets the previous works and past characters are left in the wind, but Ms. Knight dove in and inserted the other BSDM couples in Kink Aware.

Kiss of Leather series would best be read in order to get a definitive feel for the lives of the men who call KoL their second home. Kink Aware was a spectacular addition.

Rocked Hard, the newly revised and expanded formerly, Rockin’ the Alternative by Morticia Knight brought two men, both entrenched in the music industry and both very alone, together for a passionate roller coaster.

Aubrey, classic rocker on the comeback after many years of hiatus, enlisted Bryan, fan extraordinaire, to write his memoirs, capturing the rise and comeback of a music legend. Bryan in his own right was a prolific rock music writer and jumped at the chance to imbed himself in Aubrey’s life and become part of something special. A longer version than the original published story, Ms. Knight dove into the men’s lives expanding and giving us a greater depth into the psyche, love for each other, and the ups & downs of their surrounding turmoil.

Although slightly dark with a tinge of sadness, an air of vulnerability pervaded through Rocked Hard, as each man bared his soul and spoke of forever’s as opposed to one night stands. I adored Aubrey and his almost shy demeanor and defenselessness. A man with the world at his feet, one who brought music to life, was simply a man who desired to be cherished and loved. He wore his heart on his sleeve, thus creating an ethereal quality which permeated through Ms. Knight’s writing; his charisma, trepidations, and sincerity in his love for the music and Bryan.

The sex was hot and steamy, allowing the characters to drive their sexual dalliances as opposed to a story of misplaced encounters which were forced and regimented. Ms. Knight created an almost voyeuristic story, allowing us to peek into Aubrey and Bryan’s lives; in the music studio, relaxing on the couch, in the bedroom~ Rocked Hard, a must read, created by a prolific writer.

Since meeting Francesco and Theo in the Hampton Road Club series, I have longed to hear their story. Finding Sanctuary by Morticia Knight did not disappoint in conveying their relationship and the couples’ status which they achieved.

Individually, Theo and Francesco were delightful characters. Both enigmatic, larger than life. Together, they soared and brought a new dimension to the series and to each other.

Theo and Francesco were in the other books, but we never received a full glimpse into how they came together and the life Francesco led prior to his involvement with Theo. Well done, Ms. Knight in tying the over-arching themes together.

As always, the 1920’s nuances were well- researched, the backdrop, the mannerisms, and the vocalization of the characters. I especially found the sadomasochism descriptors well defined, as the 1920’s was the start of the world of BDSM as we know it today.

Francesco’s positive attitude and ever-present cheer radiated through the pages, even in times of distress. And Theo’s discovery as a dominant and master cultivated the relationship and the need for the men’s special lifestyle.

No author has drawn me into the historical world of BDSM as Ms. Knight and even though this is the final book in the series, I implore her to regale us with more.

Although the book is number 6 in the series, Finding Sanctuary was actually a prequel. BUT DO NOT read Finding Sanctuary first- read books one-five, then this book. You will not be disappointed in reading the entire Hampton Road Club series.

Tobey has to face Hunter if he goes back to Kiss of Leather and Hunter has to figure out what he really wants from life and love. It takes a charity slave auction to show them what they’ve both been too stubborn to see.

Amidst the turmoil involving Corey’s kidnapping and the successful capture of the perpetrators, Hunter and Tobey found each other and began to build a bond in the Kiss of Leather family.

Facing Fears was a wonderful addition to Morticia Knight’s KOL series, and focused on the need for acceptance and the determination to overcome fear. Both men, emotionally stilted needed the kick in the pants they received to forge forward and express their true feeling for each other.

Much different than the other books in the series, Facing Fears did not necessarily focus on the BDSM aspect of the series, but more a slow burn of a budding relationship. I felt as if we didn’t get to really enjoy Hunter and Tobey until a few chapters in, as the beginning focused on Liam & Neal, and the capturing of the kidnappers. Ms. Knight also introduced us to a new character- genderfluid- Cruella. I hope we see more of Cruella in the future.

Neal isn’t scared off by Liam’s anxiety or social awkwardness. On the contrary, he finds the sub to be refreshingly honest and endearing.

They try out a scene to see if they’ll click, and their connection is everything they’d both hoped it could be. However, the road to love and a Total Power Exchange isn’t an easy one. Neal still hasn’t discovered all there is to know about Liam’s traumatic upbringing, and he’s not sure if he’d ultimately be the right Master for Liam.

Both men are forced to face the truth about love, life and what it means to share it with another person. But before Liam can start over with Neal, he’ll have to cut the cords to his past and trust that Neal will be there to catch him when he does.

Cutting Cords, Kiss of Leather by Morticia Knight was a fast paced sexy read opening the door for a new relationship and leaving us hanging with other dealings.

Liam was sensitive and sweet- the young man, born to serve- lacked guidance and service since the death of his master. Not wanting to speak ill of the dead, I surmised through Ms. Knight's writing that Mark had been colder than loving, yet gave Liam all he desired and took very good care of him.

Neal, a new Dom at KOL, fell hard for the shy, sensitive, and awkward boy, but wasn't sure a full-time M/s relationship was in the cards- Neal needed to remember that each relationship was what the parties made it, not cookie cutter.

Together Neal and Liam were sweet, sexy, and fun-loving both in and out of the bedroom.

Ms. Knight always delivers a wonderful read. Her characters are real people with true wants and desires- of which Neal and Liam fell into. Past characters from previous books are an integral part as the 'bad guys' have yet to be caught.

I would recommend reading the series in order and enjoy the world of KOL through Ms. Knight's eyes.
